EMC Avamar - tuning avtar resource utilization

Avamar Client is very in invasive.
It takes 1/2 of all available resource (CPU and bandwidth) without considering that other processes running in the background may need them.
This may cause negative impact the fragile servers like Exchange or very busy SQL servers and may lead to very slow performance.

To limit avtar process we can use flags in the avtar.cmd file.

Edit the /var/avtar.cmd (or create if does not exist):

avs/var/avtar.cmd
--cpu-throttle=%CPU [e.g. 20]
--throttle=MBPS [e.g. 4]
--net-throttle=MBPS [e.g. 4.5]
